Mike
Kistler is your 2008-2009 PBL National President. Mike graduated from
the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with Highest Distinction in May
2008. He is currently working to obtain his Master’s in Business
Administration degree through the Raikes School of Computer Science
& Management at the University of Nebraska. Over the past nine
years, Mike has been active in FBLA-PBL serving in many local, state,
regional, and national officer positions; connecting businesses to our
members; and working to make FBLA-PBL a larger and stronger
organization. Mike wants to help you get the edge and encourages you
to ask him any questions about PBL. Remember, together we will build
PBL into a larger and more successful organization.
PBL National Secretary
PBL National Virtual Chapter, OK
Gloria Lau is your professional, bold, and lively PBL National
Secretary. Gloria attends the University of Oklahoma, and will graduate
in May 2009 with a Bachelor degree in International Business and
Management. Gloria has been involved with PBL since freshman year, and
has served at the local, state, and regional levels. Gloria was the
Oklahoma PBL State President last year and won the Who’s Who in PBL
Award at the 2008 NLC. As your national leader, Gloria would like to
help you grow as a business leader, seizing the opportunities and
benefits that PBL has to offer. Let’s Get the Edge and let PBL
continues to become bigger, better, and stronger!
PBL National Treasurer
Unpqua Community College, OR
Robert Rouse is a junior at Umpqua Community College. He is
currently working towards a degree in Sports Business. Robert has been
involved in FBLA-PBL for over six years. Last year he served as the PBL
Western Region Vice President. He is looking forward to another
exciting year of working with PBL members throughout the country.
PBL National Parliamentarian
Salisbury State University, MD
Mark Comaty is your 2008-2009 National Parliamentarian. He first became
involved in FBLA-PBL as a freshman in high school. Last year Mark
reactivated his campus chapter and now serves as Maryland PBL’s State
President. Mark is a junior accounting major at Salisbury University’s
Perdue School of Business and plans to become an attorney and CPA. Mark
serves as a senator in his campus Student Government Association, is a
member of several honor societies, and enjoys debating in his spare
time. This year Mark hopes to improve communication with local chapters
and encourage membership involvement so you can “

Eric Weinberg
PBL Eastern Region Vice President
Rutgers University, NJ
Eric Weinberg is proud to serve as the 2008-2009 PBL Eastern
Region Vice President. Convinced that Rutgers University had to have a
PBL chapter, Eric worked to establish and grow a thriving chapter while
an undergraduate Management major at the Rutgers Business School. Now
on to graduate school at Rutgers working toward a Masters in Human
Resources Management, Eric stays involved at the chapter level while
also working to grow the NJ State Chapter and the entire Eastern Region
as a whole. He looks forward to the day when all former FBLA members
have a PBL chapter to join when starting college, and when there is so
much scholarship money in PBL that we can conclude the NLC with cash
falling from the ceiling.
Alexa Williams
PBL Mountain Plains Vice President
Mesa State College, CO
Alexa Williams is the 2008-2009 Mountain Plains Region
Vice-President. She is currently attending Mesa State College in
Colorado where she is majoring in Accounting. She hopes to graduate and
get her C.P.A. then continue on to law school to study Corporate Law.
This will be her third year with FBLA-PBL and she has put together
events at both the local and state level including state conference,
fundraisers, and many community service projects. She has had the
pleasure of serving as an officer at a local and state level and is
excited to be a member of this year’s national officer team! Alexa

PBL North Central Region VP
Southeast Missouri State University, MO
Buddy Alberson is currently a junior at Southeast Missouri
State University. He is majoring in Business Education and has
previously received two degrees: an Associates of Art in Pre-Business
Administration and an Associates of Science in Medical Technology.
Buddy joined FBLA while in high school and continued his experience
with the organization in college. This is his sixth year with the
organization. Buddy currently serves as Missouri PBL President and
Mineral Area College PBL President. He has also served as Missouri PBL
Vice-President & Treasurer as well as being local chapter
Vice-President & Treasurer. Buddy’s goals for this upcoming year
are to improve the communication between the National, State, and Local
chapters, increase membership, and find ways to encourage more members
to run for an officer position at all levels.
PBL Southern Region Vice President
Miami Dade College-Kendall Campus, FL
Yanyn San Luis has been a member of FBLA-PBL since her
sophomore year in high school. Among being your Southern Region Vice
President, Yanyn had served as an officer at her local and state level.
She is a junior at Florida International University and is majoring in
Political Science. Yanyn has been involved in politics and aspires to
be the next Speaker of the House of the United States Congress. One of
her goals this year is to increase the competitive spirit and interest
of Phi Beta Lambda throughout the Southern Region States.
PBL Western Region Vice President
California State University-Fullerton, CA
Michelle Nakaji is honored to serve as your 2008-2009 PBL
Western Region Vice President. She is currently attending California
State University, Fullerton majoring in Entrepreneurship and minoring
in Asian American Studies. For the past 8 years, Michelle has served in
many leadership positions, most recently as California PBL State
President. Our member’s positive enthusiasm, innovative intensity and
competitive spirit continue to fuel her passion for the largest and
premiere student business organization in the world! Michelle firmly
believes in the mission and vision of FBLA-PBL. She believes that
leadership is our biggest asset and is constantly inspired by the
teamwork and dedication of her peers. Michelle has no doubt that this
will be an amazing year and can’t wait to see what members and chapters
will accomplish! She is excited to meet many of you and challenges
everyone to Get the Edge through their experience in FBLA-PBL this
