Your National President is a PBL Virtual chapter member who currently attends Brigham Young University in Utah. He has been a PBL member for two years. During that time he has received seven first place awards and one second place award on the state level of competition. He has been on the dean’s list for four consecutive semesters at Utah Valley University and was last year’s Utah representative for Who’s Who in PBL. He also served as Utah’s PBL State President during the 2009-2010 membership year. While serving in this capacity, he created new programs that helped the member of Utah PBL experience more success in the organization. During his national term this year, his primary focus will be on the following three areas of growth for the association: Membership, Professional Division Expansion/Alumni, and National Image and Recognition.

Your PBL National Secretary, José Betancourt, is a senior at Florida International University in Miami. He has been involved with FBLA-PBL for five years. In addition to his national office, he currently serves as the Florida PBL State President. He has earned many first place awards at the State Leadership Conference, including Free Enterprise Project, Future Business Executive, Local Chapter Annual Business Report, and Public Speaking. At the national level, he has received first place in Public Speaking, second place in Free Enterprise Project, and third place in Local Chapter Annual Business Report. José is also involved with the INROADS Student Association and has been recognized with the Mercy Hospital Volunteering Award.

Courtney Sutherland is proud to serve as your 2010-11 National Treasurer. Courtney is a Sophomore at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in the Carlson School of Management, double majoring in international business and marketing. She has been active in FBLA-PBL since her freshman year of high school, attending and competing at five National Leadership Conferences and earning Wisconsin FBLA's Who's Who Award in 2009. She is seeking to increase sponsorship, activity, chapter and membership growth, and to continue "Breaking Barriers" this year.

Chris Reznicek is honored to serve as your PBL National Parliamentarian. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in May 2010 with his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and will continue his education at UNL to obtain his Master of Business Administration. Having benefited greatly through the many opportunities FBLA-PBL offered during his seven years of involvement, his mission now is to give back to the organization and membership that have provided him with so much. He cannot wait to help you show the world what Breaking Barriers really means to PBL!

Usman (Syed) Ahmed is proud to serve as your 2010-2011 Eastern Region Vice President. Usman is a junior at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where he’s majoring in finance and math  with a minor in economics .  He has been a part of FBLA-PBL since his sophomore year in high school, winning numerous state and national awards. He wishes to lead members to a meaningful and productive year and help them in their ultimate goals within their careers and professional development. He will continue on to his second term as the New Jersey PBL State President and his experiences on the local, state, and national levels will help him and the rest of the national officer team to “break barriers” this year!

Tania joined FBLA-PBL  because she saw an opportunity to mature her business skills through the many competitions and leadership opportunities that FBLA-PBL provides. She has taken first place in several competitions at the state level, and sixth place in Business Ethics at the national level. She has served as the PBL President of both her local chapter and the State of Texas for the past year.  Tania is an accounting major at the University of Texas at Arlington. During the next year, it is her vision to see FBLA-PBL continue improving communication, grow in membership, and expand its business relationships.

Jake Barreau is proudly serving as your 2010-2011 PBL North Central Region Vice President. Jake is a Junior Marketing and Spanish major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jake has been involved with FBLA-PBL since his freshmen year in high school, during which time he has attended five National Leadership Conferences and has placed at Nationals seven times. Jake is also serving as Wisconsin PBL State Reporter and was the 2009-2010 PBL National Parliamentarian. Jake is very excited for the upcoming year and is looking forward to helping PBL become bigger and better!

Aaron Carroll is proud to be serving as your 2010-11 Southern Region Vice President. He is attending Arkansas State University of Jonesboro where he is obtaining a BA in Chemistry with emphasis on Pre-Med. Throughout the years that Aaron has served on the local, state, and regional levels, it has always been his dream to serve on the national officer team and help serve the members. Phi Beta Lambda is close to Aaron because of its ability to make excellent business leaders. This year Aaron wishes to help improve membership by focusing on marketing Phi Beta Lambda. FBLA-PBL will be "Breaking Barriers" this year because of the entire officer team's dedication to the organization.

Brianna Zhao is proud to serve as your 2010-2011 Western Region Vice President. Brianna is a junior at the University of California-Berkeley, majoring in statistics and environmental economics and policy. Over the past six years that she has been involved in FBLA-PBL, she has served both as local officer and state officer for California FBLA-PBL. In addition to her national office, she also serves as the California State Vice President of Business Relations. As a national officer, she wishes more PBL members could benefit from the professional development and competition sectors of the organization. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and reading literature. Upon graduating from college, she wishes to spend one year teaching as a volunteer in Sichuan, China, where a devastating earthquake took place in 2008.
